Is awesome! You can nab it on Steam or elsewhere.

I ordered 5 new PC games yesterday, but World of Goo wasn't one of them. You'll have to do more than say "it's awesome" to convince me!

I had to stop buying games cos I just don't play them. I stop myself going into game stores when I go in to town, so that I am not tempted by the bargains. I guess 5,000 hours of GW has meant no time for anything else :o

Games I can see from here that I haven't even started:
Half-Life 2 (and so that means I have not even got a steam account!!)
Civ3
Warcraft Battlechest
Deus Ex
Shogun Total War (Warlord Edition)
Hostile Waters
Homeworld
Sacrifice
Battle Realms

Games I can see that I am sure I installed and loaded at least once but haven't played:
Oblivion
NWN2
Giants - Citizen Kabuto
UT2004
Starlancer
Freelancer (though I recently restarted this and got a little ways through it)

...and I am sure there are more among the shelves, plus many that I got into but didn't get to the end of though always meant to go back to them(Tzar, Startopia, Crimson Skies, etc etc)

If only I could stop working and spend more time doing summat more useful

So... bottom line... no Goo :(

i dont have a steam account either. i really dont feel the need to have one.

really like your game selection muppet! even though i really suck at games from the "total war" series, like shogun and rome.
i want to try nwn2 sometime, but i think my pc cant handle it enough for me to enjoy it. i played the demo of Giants - citizen kabuto to death back in the time, it was a really fun game.

world of goo seems to be pretty fun, and a lot better than crappy elefunk. i think its great if you are the kind of person who enjoys lemmings.

edit: decided to go back and install the demo of giants again. but i found out its not compatible with XP, and i could only find a patch for the full game. (boooo!)

Mupps, Freelancer is awesome :P I really enjoyed it, and I dont think its been beaten in the genre since it came out. Plus there are plenty of mods out there both single and multiplayer. There's a piece in this months OCG actually, where they site http://www.discoveryfl.com/ as one of the best mods.

You should also really, really play Half Life 2 as well.

I have a load of games I've only played once, and I'm terrible for just stopping playing a game for no reason and not going back to it.

GTA4 - I just stopped playing and haven't gone back yet 'cause I'd have to learn the controls again.
Gears of War (XBOX) - not played
Halo 3 (XBOX) - not played
Supreme Commander - Installed but it was too laggy, need a better comp
Overlord - Same as SC
NWN2 - Installed once but it was laggy as hell and the camera was all over the place.
Oblivion - I'll play this eventually when I get some mods that fix the horrible loot-scaling.
Quake 4 - Just stopped playing
FEAR - Stopped playing
Spore - Hate It

Currently playing through BG2 again, cant beat the oldies.

PCG agrees with Klok - they gave Goo 93% and marked it as a Must Buy game :)

I was enjoying Frelancer on the whole. Just keep running into bits (following the story) where you have to rush off somewhere and there is a massive ambush and I have to redo it 4 or 5 times before I get past. The bits in between with small fights and exploring are fun.
The new PCG has a section on Freelancer mods too, and that also says Discovery is the best one of their little review.

Didn't get to tell you last night, but yes BG is Baldur's Gate and Shadows of Amn is an expansion of Baldur's Gate 2. Don't have much experience with either, since I didn't get far in BG2. The storyline was pretty interesting and the character interaction was funny, but I just couldn't be bothered to deal with the needs of the entire party.

I'm playing through Oblivion now and despite its genericness and the ugly ugly chars, I'm enjoying it. I especially liked being able to follow any career path and not just the usual goody-goody hero-type. (Yes, I've been murdering and thieving my way through it ;D).

The Witcher is next!

No it's not. Shadows of Amn is the subtitle of the original BG2 campaign.
The expansion for BG2 was called Throne of Bhaal (and it was incredible, at least as good if not better than the original BG2 campaign).

I stand corrected. But it's okay, I'm used to pedantic BG2 fans. ;D

Apparently you need to get the Enhanced Edition, as it fixes some of the bad stuff in the original. Can be downloaded as a free update according to PCG, or just make sure you buy that one if not bought yet (as also has some extra content).

I've been playign Oblivion too, but found it disappointing in the graphics department. Guess I had very high expectations for it.

I also have trouble staying focused on the game, due to its open nature. Guess I prefer more structured games. D:

(Or maybe it's just that I suck really badly at it, and haven't been able to complete the first quest yet. <.< )

I know what you mean Varda, I tend to prefer structured/linear games where I'm more playing a story than doing my own thing. That's why I've held off getting Oblivion for this long. I doubt I will finish it (not that it's really possible *to* finish...) but it's nice to have on the shelf. Or something.

I only looked at the bottom of the post and saw Infinity underneath, I wasn't actually interested in people's comments so I'm afraid I didn't see you ;)
