New Greens

Postby Muppet » Sun Jun 18, 2006 2:31 pm

Seems I had a brief spell of very uncharacteristic luck.
After months of rarely seeing anything drop worth having, I get 2 greens in 2 runs :o

Managed to get to play with some of you for the first time in ages, and went off to Majesty's Rest. And the Rotwing Bow dropped for me :o
(I thought we were gunna meet Rotscale, but seems he has been replaced by Rotwing the Bone Dragon boss.)

Image

However, I didn't get in the group giong to the falls, so next day I took Beta out alone. First Behemoth I killed dropped the Totem Axe :o

Image

Bow don't look particularly useful.
Axe might be ok for some undead killing (20% extension to Judges, +5e to help keep it up, 20% AP on top of 20% from Judges....) or just as a +5e weap for a caster.

All subsequent Behemoths & floaty things dropped no greens.
And 2 solo runs into the Grawl netted me no hammer either.
So looks like my luck is back to normal - and after just a couple hours farming for them I am bored of it so that's that done ;)

Ooh, very pretty.

It was fun heading off with a full guild group. We'll have to do that more. :D

Yep, always summat I like to see, and although we never did it much we are doing it even less nowadays. With other players spread out so thin getting PUGs is harder than ever in some areas, and henchies aint up to some of the missions. So we need Guild PvE play more than ever - and yet it has almost died off completely

In spite of all the communication platforms we have, hardly anyone logs in at the same time. And when there's people logged in, a question of "What's up" reveals either: No answer; random mission/quest for each of the members; farming; title hunting.

Kinda hard to get together to do something like this... I'm usually up for anything as soon as I leave what (if anything) I'm doing at the moment, but usually people aren't up for much. :( (Of course, there's the issue in Factions where not everyone has characters in certain areas, for instance. That complicates things further.)

Well, I shortly intend to have all of Cantha available to my Monk. Both sides.

Say, we should make a plan to all head to one of the capital cities and get taxied to an elite mission. :D

I'm ridiculously behind and have been rather busy of late with silly end of term things like results (I got a 2:1 by the way, and a 1st in my dissertation), and now congregation is looming. I'm going to try to have more lazy days filled with factions so hopefully I'll catch up at some point soon.

yeah, it was really fun to have a full group of guildies. i was also looking foward to getting a fan! though i feel lucky of being able to meet other guild members while i play. though we dont form such a large group, its still good to be playing with someone else, rather than just playing and chatting on the guild chat.

With just one char stationed at the mission outpost, you can have the whole guild taken there. ^^ That char goes to the GH, forms a party with everyone and then leaves the GH, dragging everyone along back to the elite mission outpost.
So if someone gets the chance to be ferried somewhere, let us know. :D

Ãre you sure we can do this? I remember trying it once and got the message saying that some party members couldn't be taken to the area I was trying to go, and asked if I wanted to leave them behind...

You need to have been there before to be able to be ferried from the GH.

Hmm, maybe it was a PvP char... Only tried it once. And yes, I had just come out of the deep into the GH.

No, I mean the party members your taking must have been to the deep or the warren at some stage.

I agree, it's a really different feeling to do pve runs with guildies and I miss those rare moments. Especially when it comes to discover new stuff, it's more exciting to share that with guildies!
We could do some other green runs, like in talus chute (I went there with henchies but had no luck at all), to get that ice breaker hammer and that frozen FAN (^_-). The area with the new grawls is easy to reach and there are plenty of them.
It would be nice to get a group for Urgoz Warren too, the Kurzick elite mission. It's less difficult than the Deep at the start (*coughaspectofexhaustioncough*) and you can to the chests quite quickly.
I think people ferry in HzH nowadays.

Talus chute sounds good, also sounds like something I can do! The fans are quite pretty, but what's the obsession?

We went after the Grawl last night.
Nothing worth having on the first run - and even all 4 chests opened were just purple.
Second run we got 2 golds and a green hammer :) (though not me this time - someone else's turn to be lucky)

No sign of any fans, which allegedly drop here as well. I thought it was just floaty things, guess I need to read wiki again :o

Still.. 5 BHLT people pwning the Grawl (and anything else that got in the way) was fun :)
