Good news for folks still trying to finish HM stuff - more rewards for quish and 7 heroes to help :)
Good news for Klok - can now make a whole party of semi-naked mentalist ladies (using Mercenaries) :P
And good news for anyone LFG - Embark Beach might actually have other players in it (unlike most outposts) :)

Sorry to hear you've been unwell, Muppet - hope it improves soon!

Some of us noted the changes the night they went in and have had a quick look around Embark Beach, but it was right before my bedtime so I haven't had a chance to play much.

Looking forward to a bit of farming for those last few HoM points anyway :) (I doubt I will make it to 50 as that would require buying an armbrace and obsidian armour, but 47-48 is quite doable)

I think 50/50 is quite doable for most of us, with a little help... I, for one, plan on taking complete advantage of all the changes.

Hope you get better soon, Muppet. :)

I is better (almost). Thanks folks.

Who wrote that topic title!
(Just how unwell was I. I blame the drugs.)

Seems folks have already worked out how to farm LDoA in a few days by abusing the monsters that spawn for the daily quests (rather than just doing the quests)

Embark is always populated, but not much grouping or (surprisingly) trading going on.

Vanquish bounty and 7 heroes inspired me to progress Alpha a bit further into EotN - all HM dungeons and 1 more quish completed.

Pre-searing changes have made me get Ninja out again, doing the quests and collecting Nic drops.

And I know Beta finished drinking all the ale he had stashed :)

(And yet more content to come in the near future too...)
All is good.

Legendary Defender of Ascalon. The pre-searing title that, before, you could only get via death-leveling enemeis and then killing them. Now you have quests with higher level enemies, which give 1000xp as a reward. Win!

really happy with the changes. but i dont think i'll take any advantage of it.
i'm only 2 minipets short of 50/50 anyway.

i didnt really understand the changes to the survivor title. so if you die you can try again from scratch? does this mean that current characters can try and get it? that might make GWAMM sort of attainable, and would make what little booze i have somewhat usefull.

Yes and yes :)

If you play with an old character you will see that Survivor bar appeasr on the title panel and starts climbing as you gain XP. So any character, whether they died or just pre-date the titles, can now start climbing the XP ladder.

If you die the bar stops climbing but doesn't reset. To see how much you have progressed since death before reaching how high you were before they added summat to /deaths that says how much XP earned since last death.
