Crazy damage build skill lists

Postby Klokwurk » Mon May 29, 2006 11:21 pm

Here's a thread for everyone to post the skills they used in our random all-damage build today.

Rt

*Ritual Lord*
Boon of Creation
Rupture Soul
Explosive Growth

Pain
Shadowsong
Shelter
Soothing

For anyone that wasn't there, we were doing normal GvG but we were totally lacking damage and kept losing, so we decided to go crazy and have everyone stay the same job but respec to damage skills... and we actually started winning. <_<;;

E/Mo #1

Energy storage 11 (10 + 1)
Air 15 (11 + 3 + 1)
Healing 10

Healing Breeze
Lightning Strike
Lightning Orb
Lightning Javelin
*Ether Prodigy*
Heal Party
Air Attunement
Res (sig, hard res, up to you)

Holy hell, that was a fun build. :D

Edit: A good point. I was trying to keep my energy levels quite high to reduce the effect of the relatively frequent ether prodigy's exhaustion. However, that didn't really matter. Build edited.

I was E/Mo, for the one brief match I played.

16 Fire Magic
13 Energy Storage
3 Healing Prayers

Aura of Restoration (cause I wasn't expecting anyone to bring healing)
Fire Attunement (all the energy management I had, it wasn't enough)
*Star Burst*
Inferno
Flame Burst
Immolate
Fireball
Restore Life

(Edit: I think we should play a build like this when the ladder is unlocked too. We can gradually adapt it based on our experiences, but it seemed like the healer hench, and the backup healing Bera and Lys were able to offer, plus the Wells of Blood, did very nicely for keeping us alive long enough to do the serious damage. Point is, of course, if you can take a couple of the enemy down in seconds, they don't have TIME to test your healing capabilities :))

P.S. Bera, I think you should take Air up to 15 and drop Energy Storage to 11 :P

That's a very good point. I noticed we were taking down the warriors and necros first and didn't even bother with the healers till the first thing in the radar had been brought down.

While I think that due to our disorganization and the diferent ammount of tactics used by guild who gvg seriously, we'll get pwned pretty hard by an organized guild, this kind of build is extremely fun to play and may even get us places. :D

I was using:

Mo/N

Smiting 16
Blood 12

Banish (58 holy damage)
Spear of Light (58 +63 if foe is attacking)
Smite (58 +37 if foe is attacking)
Ray of Judgement {E} (110 dmg, undead creatures are set on fire fora few seconds)
Smite hex (90dmg to all adjacent foes whena hex is removed)
Vampiric gaze (stealing 50 health)
Well of Blood (+5 health regen)
Res sig

Not the best lineup ever, but it seemed to work alright. :D

I didn't play in this, but I did play in some alliance battles with Lys and Anya afterwards and I was using an all out fire dmg build there. :)

Here's what I used, it seemed to work rather well!

Energy Storage 13 (82 total max energy)
Fire Magic 12

Immolate
Flare
Fireball
*Mind Burn*

Fire Storm
Inferno
Fire Attunement
Aura of Restoration

If I used Mind Burn carefully (ie when on full or high energy) then it was doing a respectable 108 dmg plus 6 seconds of burning afterwards, and I took out a couple of silly assassins (and even warriors) with the surprise 121 dmg from Inferno when they closed to melee. :D

I'm thinking about adding Judges insight to cast on our warrior(s), and dropping the necro secondary in favour of some energy management skill (maybe replacing smite hex with inspired hex, and then energy tap or inspired enchantment?)

But of course if the wall is semed necessary, I'll keep it on and just not worry about energy. :)

Judge's insight on Lys and me would be devastating. Especially as Lys can teleport in, set them up for a fall and I rush in to help finish the job.
